I've never thought about it like that before. You're making sense, though. The problem there is it's less about showing people something and more about sharing or creating an experience, from the inside.
Right. But this game is visually-oriented, which means we need to make something that's either visually scary or evokes a scary experience in the viewer's mind.
I'm pretty sure a lot of people here are scared of getting hurt or those around them getting hurt, but that might be pushing it into the mean territory.
