Tiger's Eye

[ You step into a wooden room that smells of the sea; stand still long enough and you’ll notice the room is rocking very faintly. A round table sits in the middle of the room with wooden chairs lining the edges. At the back of the room sits two large, locked treasure chests, to the side an open closet. Inside are PIRATE CLOTHES, captain hats, bandannas, FAKE HOOKS, and the like.. A piece of paper lays on the table, along with an ink well and a feather pen. The door locks behind you as you enter; looking out the porthole now reveals an endless sea. ]

Wouldn't a light wooden ship rock more?

Maybe, I'm not sure. Maybe not if it's fast enough.

There's also the issue of durability.

Even if our ship is fast, if it's not properly reinforced, one shot will sink us.

That's true. I still want to go for speed and armament more than other stuff; it lets us pick our fights, if we're going to be fighting.

Fair enough.

So maybe heavy wood instead of light? I don't think we want to go up to metal.

Metal would be too heavy.

....we probably want to give it more than a small crew, too, with this much stuff to manage.

I can't see a large crew on a small ship.

Perhaps a medium-sized one?

That sounds good to me.
