[ The Call that compels you to the Ring tonight is cheerful and wanting. As soon as you step into the Ring you're greeted by an empty open blue sky and seven arches. Each arch is made out of black iron and decorated with frillions of tiny tiny gears. Something is ticking.

Next to each archway is a large cushion and on that cushion are some people you might recognize. Ferris from Tiger's Eye, Beatrice on Peridot, Konatsu on Ruby, Rolo on Turquoise, Silver from Onyx, Timi from Tiger's Eye, Vincent on Iolite, Vriska on Citrine and Wako on Carnelian. They're sleeping (?), please don't draw on their faces.

Dream -- eyes full of stars with his hummingbird shaped chest hole :B -- sits on a cushion of his own, looking eager. ]

What keeps the gears turning? How does the inside move? Does it tick forward to desire, or away back into the past?

[looking at sleeping Beato with both unease and concern]

She's so...she's such a strange person that it's hard to even say. I don't know much about her world or life, but...more than I do about some of my teammates. I certainly don't...understand her very well. How she thinks, I mean.

There goes that plan. I was hoping you'd kind of know the lay of the land, the way you did with President.

[shakes his head]

I didn't know President that well at all. I was mostly just...following my instincts. I mean, once we got to Peridot, I knew some things, but...

Let me know if you have any of those instincts, okay?

And there's one thing I do know, that I should tell you.

I love how we're both assuming we'll both end up with her. It would make the most sense for you, at least.

If you see people with goat heads, or wearing goat masks, run. Just get out of there, stat.

Whoever we're in, if we're together...

[nods acknowledgement, like a soldier receiving an order]

I will. And I'll take whoever I'm with.

[nods] Let people you're with know, in case we get separated. I doubt it's something she minds people knowing anyway.

I will. And... [pondering] Her familiars, as a witch, are golden butterflies. I...can't tell you whether they would mean good things or bad things. She can be horrible as a witch, but it's also...her fulfillment, I think, if that makes sense. Something that makes her happy.

It's her place in the world. I think I understand that.

And...this, I think, is more of a secret, but...she's said that Peridot, the team and her ideas of the team, is her reason for living. I...we should be careful, with that.

Of course.

No one on Peridot would hurt or mess with her, right?

I...can't speak for Lucifer. Maybe by now he's at least gotten it through his head that hurting his teammates is counterproductive to getting his own precious power back, but...

Doesn't care about anything except himself. Well, maybe that's changed with his memories, but...he's so unpleasant to talk to that I usually don't, so I don't know.

That's usually the best plan of action. It's what I'd do if Emerald got a jackass. Though then there's games...

Yeah...that's about the only time I talk to him.

[shudders a little] I really hope Emerald never gets anyone like him. He would never sacrifice anything to help anybody. He's said as much to my face.

Though we're not exactly pushovers, either.

That's Emeralds for you - we're tough, and we'll bounce back, no matter what.

You should come over more. And we should have another drunk thing, at some point.
