The room is like any other room, really—a cabin with a door, and windows, and beds. But the fireplace never gets warm, and the beds are hard, and the air is cold.

On the table there is food—water, and dry bread, and there is a pot of stew that always stays warm, and full, and smells delicious.

There are also five cards, waiting for your decision.

Gonna ditto Mr. Rogers over there. I'm down with going the 'not at all' route and doing the lotto thing. Knights shouldn't be dishing out this kinda stuff, yeah?

The teams will "dish it out". Being a knight does not give us any great moral authority here. We can do as we wish.

Aaand I think most knights wish to not to break their normal moral codes for a game? Most! Not all. Don't wanna speak for everyone, heh.

Anyway, why not play low unless our hand is forced? Like I said, we can try that uh, lotto thing, too, if we want a winning shot.

Does it matter? The lighter cards seem to be things that nearly anyone could handle.

I would assign the cards randomly and spread out over as many teams as possible. Playing favorites in a game such as this has always struck me as somewhat hypocritical.

You know what? You're right. If we're gonna take the moral high ground--[air quotes]--can't go around thinking one team is more important than the other, yeah?

Choose a team likely to be avoided by others, perhaps.

Well in that case, I kinda do wanna go ahead and give them the really light card. They're in the same position we are. The heroes can deal with everything else after we see how this goes.

I know, I know, way to lay it on our own, yeah? But I figure if we hit 'em with a pillow now, we don't bring 'em back up by chance we don't have any choice but to play something a little rougher.

We're separated, but we're still a team. Onyx, too. I won't play favorites with the heroes, but the other knights. . .I want this to be the only thing we ever send their way.

The only thing the rules prevent is hitting the same team more than once in the same day. Tomorrow, we can choose any team again. We do nothing to protect any team by picking them now.

Alright, I'll ask the others if we can swap to--Iolite? I actually like them, but hey, like you said, no sense in being hypocritical. How's that sound?
