Three pebbles are on one side and nine on the other. There are three doors on the wall opposite you (past the scales). Each door is made of dark wood and has gold lettering.]

[the apple tree is a truly beautiful spectacle, but a tree this frozen has very little practical use. It's not even as if it appears to be winter here; the leaves are still frozen solid onto the tree, rooting out. There are apples, too ... also frozen.]

[eventually you reach a lake that has completely frozen solid. It had a faint gold colour to it, but frozen over, it looks muted and cold. There are a few toys haphazardly strewn around the lakeshore.

You might distantly hear the sound of crying . . . ]
