Interesting... change can be forced upon someone regardless of their intent, so the methods you choose depend on whether or not you want someone to change for their own good, or yours.

Mm. "Help change" usually means the other person at least wants to try and change themselves. So, besides talking to them and doing something for them, what else?

The problem is, you can't change someone unless they've already decided to change for themselves. The decision lies entirely up to them. You can always encourage or discourage them, but ultimately all we're doing is "trying".

Trying's better than doing nothing at all. You can't force it, no, but sometimes you can't just stand idly by and let someone self-destruct if that's the path they're on.
