Well, I mean, as a animal companion, people usually have things like horses and dogs and cats. Oooh, and I know a paladin who had a celestial shark and one with a celestial wolf.

Ooh, can it be a good dragon? I mean, so it wants to be our friend and not eat us, because I think that's kind of an important quality to have in a friend.

Sharks are pretty self-sufficient. I don't think you'd have to worry too much about him, so long as you came back.
