[ The first, noticeable thing is blinding light. It takes a few good seconds for it to dissipate enough so that anything else is visible, and a few more to actually make out shapes and realizes where you are. It’s nowhere particularly specific, just a vast grassland that looks just about infinite, but there’s something in it that gives a definitely feeling of warmth.

The sky is bright, the sun is high, and there’s a gentle breeze running through that makes just being here surprisingly pleasant and relaxing -- an almost induced peace-of-mind.

For the time being, there isn't anything particularly eye-catching, but a bit farther from where you are, in the distance, you can spot quite a number of balloons flying up high -- all of them colorful, though there’s a few black ones here and there. ]

[rubbing at his eyes]

Oh, good, this is starting out all right.

[crouching to run his fingers through the grass]

Nothing bad here so far.

[ nothing bad at all!! The grass is just a little wet, but it doesn't feel unpleasant to the touch at all ]

[squints, frowning, looking down at his hands and then slowly wrapping his arms around himself, uncomfortable]

[he shifts from foot to foot for a few moments, watching the others arrive]

...Hello?

[shielding her eyes, trying to block out the light a bit to get a better look around, eventually heading for the balloons if there's nothing more]

"I don't have change but I do have decent shoes. You can have them until I go find some change, okay! If not, just consider this a balloon loan, thanks! I hope your lunch was delicious!"

[He then takes off his shoes and puts them on the stand along with the note]
