It has always been important to me to be fair, merciful, and kind. Of course, I need not do this all by myself.

In this game, I will present to you some suits and ask you to discuss between yourself and the team you are partnered with to rule on their situations and their requests."

A wealthy man has gone away to war and left behind his wife. It has only been three months and the war isn't over, so he isn't expected to return yet, but all her neighbors have been receiving letters and money from their spouses and she has received nothing, and her marriage contract gives her no rights to the wealth of his estate until he dies. She has sent letters to the front and received no information at all, nor have any of her attempts to learn more of his situation brought any news. She can only assume that he has died, and in light of that, wishes to both keep his estate and remarry a man of her acquaintance. Should she or should she not be permitted to either or both of these?

[Sigh.]

Again? Really?

I'm sensing a running theme...I hope there's a twist.

She keeps on asking this question. This is like the third time we've answered this same question.

Again?

[just...tilts her head to the side.]

Oh. Maybe she's really confused.

We answered this question before. And we answered it another time after that. This is like the third time she's asked this question. It's like she thinks we'll change our answer if she keeps asking it.

Maybe, yeah. Still, it's kind of frustrating when she keeps asking the same question over and over. It's like she's saying she won't listen to us unless we give the answer she wants.

Maybe she wants a certain answer and we have to find it.

What answer do you think she wants?

She wants us to say she can do whatever she likes without anything bad happening. Like, the question here is "it's totally okay to say my husband's dead so I can take his money and marry someone else even though it's only been three months and there's no guarantee he's dead, right?"

But the answer she wants is stupid.

She keeps asking this question. She's asked this question so many times, Star doesn't even know why she keeps asking.

Especially since he came back! He's here in Camelot right now! Is it really okay to still be talking like he's missing?

It's kind of sad.

I wonder if she knows a cleric? She could ask him if her husband was dead. And she could pay to bring him back if she did.

[frowns, thinking...]

But why can't she do whatever she likes?

I doubt she's fallen entirely out of love with the king, so I can't help wondering if there's something deeper here.

There's no official recognition he has died.

Maybe it's... desperation.

Does that mean he's not dead?
