Amethyst - Game 198

You find yourself standing in a small, snowy clearing in a pine forest. It's nighttime and bitterly cold, moreso than Camelot; the stars go on forever, and there's a very bright full moon. You can see quite easily. There's a stone archway behind you, and through it you can see the Ring, still with the tables full of mead laid out. Scattered around the clearing are twenty-four free-standing wooden doors, carved and polished. They don't seem like they'd lead anywhere if you opened them, but well, #personae.

You are floating high, high in the clouds, and for a few heartstopping moments it might seem like there’s nothing supporting you--and then you realize that your feet are, indeed, resting on something. A rainbow. It stretches down behind you, branching and twining and disappearing into the clouds. It’s quite cold, the air is thin, but the sun is bright upon you. Before you, the rainbow touches ground upon a floating island. At the head of the bridge, barring your way, stands a great elk carved of wood, head lowered, a tremendous sharp-tined rack of antlers forming the gate to the floating land.

YOU ARE SLIDING THROUGH THE SKYYYYYY~

You can catch blurry glimpses of earth between the clouds at times--though it seems to be wildly different every time you look. Fertile fields, icy crags...never a solid glimpse though.

And it'll probably drop you back at the start in not too long.

Without sun there'd be no warmth, no light to make the rainbow, no food for plants so the tree wouldn't have grown that was carved into that elk...

...Except for the floating island. I can't really explain that one.
