Erika heart

You get the sense that you pass through a door, but it shuts immediately behind you. However, when you look back, there is nothing but a dead end wall behind you. There is carpet is lush beneath your feet, and the corners are free of dust. Except for the lack of any actual entrance, it could easily be the entranceway of a lavish mansion.

Any magical or otherwise supernatural abilities you have are disabled.

Let's go ahead and do it now. This is as far as we can proceed as is.

I am the same person I was before I became Game Master. I am not the culprit in any sense. Just because you're a fan of word games...

[jumping in] Under that assumption, I'd think that Sadism was the really brutal murder, and Jealousy might have burned up that one body, while Intellect strangled Affection.

[shrug]

It was worth a try. How about this...? The murders were committed by someone other than the residents, an aspect of your heart we haven't encountered yet.

Yet you would handicap your opponents? That is hardly the spirit of competition.

Then, since you did not reject this before, J's motive was jealousy. She is jealous of the victims for being more fulfilled intellectually or emotionally than she is.

Since I am, it behooves me to be the one to make such theories, does it not? Very well. Let me investigate further. This murder would not have happened had the guest arrived last night.

Can I suggest J was responsible for the burning victim, as J is jealousy and jealousy burns?

Knox's 1st. It is forbidden for the culprit to be anyone not mentioned in the early part of the story. You don't even know that much yet?

Obviously I can't be certain of that. It would have been a very different situation.

J and S were convinced the guest would not come, but the three who were murdered had insisted to wait. Waiting was painful for those were convinced the guest would not come, so they wanted to do away with those with attachments to or trust in the guest!

Hah. Then, regardless of how different the situation may have been, the motive for this murder would not have even existed if only the guest had arrived. How's that?

J was not solely responsible for any murders.

Re: GAME MASTER ERIKA

[personal profile] unbalancedscales 2013-02-03 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm.

J is Jealousy, however, and S is Sadism. They worked together on at least one murder.

I sealed all the doors at approximately the same time. Nothing of note happened between when I sealed the first one and the last one.

[...laughs for a bit, not entirely unpleasantly]

I'll let that stand for now, and address the whodunnit and whydunnit after the facts of the howdunnit are explored. Perhaps the burn victim was disposed of via molotov cocktail? This is the reason for the empty bottle.

However, that is still important information. Then her accomplice S was motivated by bloodlust, but not mindlessly so. She wished to see these specific victims suffer.

How masochistic, Erika.

The occupant of S spearheaded the attack on room H, and the occupant of J hit the occupant of A with the frying pan, though they collaborated on both murders to distract and overpower their victims.

Is that how it's done...
