The water in the cauldron is glowing faintly.

Then, Nimue speaks, and as she speaks, the cauldron begins to reflect her vision.

A pause, her voice sounds fainter now.

"Heroes... you have choices that we do not. How... would you use them...?"

But there's still be the issue of discrediting Mordred enough so that he won't have another chance at it.

Don't finding the messages alone discredit him?

Again, you're assuming that he won't have a backup plan to ensure the messages cannot fall into the wrong hands.

I'm not. You're the one who established he's subtle. Subtle means not getting caught which means knowing the best ways to communicate without being revealed. How else would he have set up this appointment with the enemy?

I agree, but with the use of magic, it means the traces will be difficult to find and then, only by a magic-user. So we'd have to make doubly sure it's evidence that can be used.

Not if they don't have his name or it's not enough proof. He could say he was framed.

But it'll definitely put him in suspicion at least! That stuff sticks, and people'll definitely be way more watchful! At the very least, he'd be under pressure.

Why can't the King just talk to him? I mean, there has to be a reason why he's disloyal, and if he's under suspicion, then the King should have a good talk anyway... maybe it turns out they can become better friends that way and the guy would give up?
