If we have to write it down, I'm not gonna be much help with that.

Your words are witch, dark, castle, fight, and hero.

Maybe that's what the crayons are for. Another means.

So we're supposed to write about the witch being defeated?

That's fine with me. I'm not really keen on storytime anyway.

It doesn't say she's an evil witch.

Or not being defeated.

What's the hero there for then?

You think she should win?

That depends on the hero. If he's weak, then obviously the witch would win.

She could cast a spell to help him attack the dark castle or something.

So the castle's evil?

Sounds like your teammate wants them to work together.

I have a hard time imagining a non-antagonistic witch.

Where I come from, to be a witch means to feed on the suffering of those around you.
