On each side of the screen there is a table with numbered boxes. Sapphire's numbered boxes matches the number of Citrine present, and Citrine's matches the number of Sapphire present.

There is a quill in ink, and small sheets of paper.

Should we open 'em, or leave 'em shut?

We might get instructions, so we should leave them shut for now. What happens if we open them and it turns out that's cheating?

Knowing that cat, who even knows ...

He might give us points for cheating.

Or points for trapping him ...

Do cats like boxes? I wouldn't suggest stuffing him in a box, but just sticking him in it might distract him long enough to let us win.

... I wish I still had catnip ...

Why did you have it in the first place?

He had a game with a wishing-well.

So I wished for catnip.

And then he got so drunk everyone won.
