[When you move to your team's table, a thin fabric wall rises up after you, blocking the sight and sound of the other teams.]

[Three wooden boxes appear: one is small and wicker, one is medium and wooden, and one is large and has gold-foil designs. They cannot be opened or harmed in any way. Next to the boxes, seven figurines clatter down. They are wooden carvings of various types of bird: one is a hawk, one is a dove, one is an owl, one is a bunting, one is a crane, one is a goose, and one is a quail. They also cannot be harmed. Kiriko's voice is in your head.]

Please choose one figure and one box as a team. Do not take too long.

Please, as a team, choose five things to give your bird and decide on five things that your bird wants. What you give them must be in the box; what they want there is no limit to.

[In your box you will find a deer skull, three molars, a silk handkerchief that is entirely black except for two red eyes, a gold coin, a small vial of blood, a pen, and seven strips of paper. One strip of paper is blank, but the other six have words written on them: power, ruthlessness, patience, justice, ego, and truth.]

This bird has five things and wants five things, just as yours did. What would you give them? Remember, there is no limit.

[This hawk is gray and sits on a wooden perch. It has a Turquoise bracelet on one foot. If birds could sprawl on perches, this one would be sprawling everywhere! It has a pair of glasses and a bit of bone sticking out of the side of its beak and has a sake cup curled loosely in one foot. Every so often it reaches down to drink from the cup.]
